July 19th 2003 was the 440th anniversary of the reign of Lady Jane Grey, the 'Nine Days Queen' - her husband was related to the Talbot family through Elizabeth Talbot, the grand-daughter of the 1st Earl.
2003 was also the 200th anniversary of the founding of the Talbot Settlement in Canada by Colonel Thomas Talbot - http://www.londonhistory.org/talbot.htm
